Akeem R. Walker of New York City was arrested after Officer Michael Longo, who was working in the area of Hope Street, heard a call for a loud argument taking place at 1181 Hope St., said Stamford Police.

According to police, Walker was initially an invited guest at the residence but he got into an argument when he was told it was time for him to leave.

Walker then threatened the kill the woman, before leaving, only to climb back in through a window, before leaving again when he saw her calling the police, Stamford Police said.

Close by, Longo headed to the address and heard Walker arguing with the victim. When Longo ordered Walker to stop, he took off, trying to escape arrest.

Unfortunately for the suspect, Officer Thomas Comerford was also working on Hope Street near Mulberry Street and was able to snatch up Walker as he attempted to escape.

Walker was charged with disorderly conduct, burglary, interfering with police and threatening.

He is being held on a $5,000 bond.

"We are proud of the actions of Officer Longo and Comerford and are pleased no one was injured," the department said.
